Including subjects such as; types/shapes, recipes, and history. Attendees will be making your own pasta to take home as well as enjoy delicious made pasta from chef John Bender. Kitchen Technique is an educational forum; focusing on proper preparations, culinary technique, origin/history, and most importantly acquainting each other with the theme of this class. The objective is to educate in the pursuit for excellence and have fun while learning!
A sushi class is a culinary adventure that immerses you in the art of Japanese cooking, offering both a deep respect for tradition and the chance to create your own masterpiece.The class begins with an introduction to the cultural significance of sushi in Japan. The chef John Bender, explains the history of sushi, from its humble origins as a street food to its elevated status in fine dining. You’ll learn about the different types of sushi, such as nigiri, maki, and temaki, as well as the key ingredients used, like vinegared rice, fresh fish, seaweed (nori), and vegetables.. I will be providing each student with their own sushi mat, a container of uncooked sushi rice, sushi vinegar, wasabi, nori and chopsticks.
